The Five Best Browsers

The primary purpose of a web browser
is to bring information to the user,
allowing them to view the information
and then continue to access more information.
Or - Provide internet "navigation" by following "links".

The 5 most used web browsers are:

Windows Internet Explorer
Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Apples Safari
Opera

One of the best ways to enhance your browsing experience is with "Extensions," "Add Ons," or
"Plug Ins."

PCworld

PC World article on "Extensions," "Add Ons," and "Plug Ins.".

Any plain-vanilla Web browser will display most sites just fine. But some enhanced browsing experiences require help from what Internet Explorer calls "add-ons," and what Netscape, Mozilla, and Firefox refer to as "plug-ins."

Note: Most all are free!

Browser Wars: Chrome vs. IE10 vs. Firefox - Browsers just get faster, leaner, and more able to turn websites into full-blown apps. We compare not only the big three, but also Maxthon and Opera.

lifehacker

The Lifehacker website article on web browsers.

It's probably the most important and debated piece of software on the modern computer.

My latest favorite Extension is Google Chromes "Metro Style Tiles."

SEARCH ENGINES

web search engine is a software system that is designed to search for information on the web.
Different search engines look for different information and look in different ways.

A fun way to see a demonstration of the difference in search engines is by taking the "Bing Challenge" aka . . . "Bing It On."
